The atmosphere is wonderful. One feels at home and the service is gracious, and encouraged us to tour the Queen Anne house after our meal which we enjoyed over 3 hours. For my appetizer I had the soft shell crab tempura, and despite the price I think it was only 1/2 a crab. It was VERY good... just out of my price comfort zone for its size. My companions were very pleased. My entree was a special, but it was cool when I got it. I KNOW something would have been done about it, but I did not say anything. I was too hungry. The table settings and furniture are appropriate, some with their own unique dinnerware not found at every table. The house is a classic, but I would rather see less cute stuff, as there is nothing wrong with the setting that it needs gift shop type fluff, maybe it's a girl thing. For me bare walls and offset lighting would be more congruent with the house. Less is more? I think this is one reason that one of my companions did not consider it elegant which I disagreed

I had one of the best nights of my life when i ate at the Mabry House. Next time you go, make sure to request the chef's table. It is really cool, because you get to see the chef and his assistants prepare your food right in front of you. Request the waiter, Greg if you get the table. Greg has the most experiance with consumer interaction, and he knows what wine goes with what dishes, so you won't be un happy with him. He also will tell you stories about the place and he really juat makes the meal 10 times more engoyable. My favorite thing on the menu is the Fried Softshell Crab. Its so good i tell whoever is at the table with me, If You Don't Want Your Crab, Speak Now Or Forever Hold Your Peace. Well thats everything good i can think of about it. Oh also the atmosphere really complements the style of food, i'm quite positive you won't be disspleased.

I've been to Mabry House a few times, it's become mine and my wifes favorite restaurant. The staff is very informed about the meal choices, how they are prepaired, and are very friendly. It is a place that you'd want to dress nicely, but not one of those places that you feel stiff. My wife and I go to Mabry House at the least on Valentines Day and usually a few more times than that a year. For two you will spend (without drinks, I don't drink) about $90-$120 with tip according to how you tip and how many courses you order. The owner is the chef and his wife will give you a tour of the house if you'd like.
