Doc1's Bio

I'm a rock-n-roll singer/songwriter with 20 years experience on stage and in the studio,
and I also run WickedTickle.com, the ArkLatex's most complete Entertainment Guide
and home of Radio FreeWT - 100% ArkLaTex Music. From the WickedTickle WT-FAQ:

WT was born in July, 2006, when Doc and Paige Bass decided to pick up and run with a torch someone else had tossed down and let die.

We decided it was time to pick up that torch, re-light it, and see what a couple of well-meaning resourceful geeks with a passion for music and life could do with no money and damn few "connections". We hoped we could be an 'island in a storm', so to speak, and maybe try to bring folks together. It's the hippie in us. ;-)

Wicked Tickle has grown into a full-fledged Entertainment Guide covering as much of the ArkLaTex as possible, and recently we've added a classic Arcade with family-safe games for kids of all ages, and "Radio FreeWT", our 24-hour "100% ArkLaTex" music player - making it possible for the first time to hear 100% Original ArkLaTex Music 24 hours a day.

We think we've succeeded at providing some tools that musicians and artists of all kinds can really -use- to promote themselves to the world. And by keeping it pure and uncommercialized, we've avoided the "banner farm" look normally used in a misguided effort to pay the hosting bills. We decided to keep it pure, keep it free, and keep it QUALITY, with the belief that if we build something people can truly use, they will contribute to it's upkeep. It works for PBS, and so far it works for Wicked Tickle!

We've done it on 100% free software, in our (ever-decreasing) spare time, and supported 100% by voluntary member donations. We use a PayPal donation link - almost like an Internet tip jar, how appropriate!

Why did we do it? Because it CAN be done, and Because it NEEDED to be done!
